Police ask public to be aware after rocks thrown at cars

Posted: Updated:
SPOKANE, Wash. -

Spokane police are asking the public to keep an eye out after receiving reports for at least four drivers who have been the victim of rocks being thrown at them.

Three drivers reported their cars were hit on Wednesday around 5:45 p.m. as they were driving home from work. There was another one Thursday morning around 8 o’clock.

One of the victims, Jeff Fry, had a rock fly through his rear passenger window. He says it was an explosion of glass, and could’ve been a lot worse if it had gone through his windshield. Thankfully, he wasn’t injured, and he was able to keep control of the car.

Police say three of the reports were near Ash and Courtland, and one near Ash and Garland. They say if this happens to you, be sure to report it. If you know anything, call Crime Check 509-456-2233.
