Man fatally shot in road rage incident on Interstate 5

MILTON, Wash. (AP) - Authorities say a 60-year-old man was shot and killed in a road-rage altercation with a female motorcyclist on Interstate 5 south of Seattle.
 
Washington State Patrol spokeswoman Brooke Bova says the incident happened Thursday afternoon on I-5 south in Milton.
 
Bova told The News Tribune that the 23-year-old motorcyclist and man in a car stopped in the left lane of the freeway after a dispute on the road.
 
Witnesses told responding troopers that the incident became physical and ended when the woman shot the man. Bova says the woman called 911 and was detained at the scene by troopers.
 
Bova says the man died at the scene.
 
Bova says the woman was cooperating with the investigation.
 
No further information was immediately available.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - Update: Spokane Police Department SWAT Team officers took a homicide suspect into custody following an afternoon shooting in downtown Spokane. That suspect was identified as 27-year-old Joel C. Taitch. He was found blocks away from the crime scene and booked for 2nd degree murder.

    Walt Disney World says it's going to build a new nature-themed resort.  The Florida-based theme park resort said Thursday that the as-yet-unnamed resort will open in 2022. It will have 900 hotel rooms as well as villas for Disney's timeshare program. The new project joins three other resort construction projects underway at Disney World.

    BREMERTON, Wash. - Prosecutors have charged a man with shooting a muzzled, leashed dog at a Washington park.    The Kitsap Sun reports the suspect, who lives in Port Orchard, was charged Oct. 9 with first-degree animal cruelty. A warrant was issued Oct. 10 for his arrest.    Authorities say police were called Sept. 13 to the South Kitsap Community Park after witnesses reported hearing a gunshot and seeing a dog injured.
