Spokane firefighters say a man died while running Bloomsday course

SPOKANE, Wash. -

Spokane firefighters confirmed Sunday that a man died Sunday while on the Bloomsday course.

Brian Schaeffer, Spokane Fire Department Fire Chief, said the 72-year-old man went into cardiac arrest during the Bloomsday run. Fire crews responded and did CPR and other lifesaving measures, but they were unsuccessful.

Additional details were not immediately available Sunday night.

    CHICAGO (AP) - A former OpenTable employee has been charged with wire fraud for allegedly making hundreds of bogus reservations at Chicago restaurants to undermine a rival booking service. The Chicago Sun-Times reports that prosecutors allege in charging documents that 30-year-old Steven Addison booked more than 300 reservations at at least 45 Chicago restaurants using Reserve, aiming to hurt the company's reputation.

    SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - A 53-year-old man has a warrant for his arrest in Spokane County for failing to register as a sex offender. Umar El Rhashi has been previously listed as a Level III sex offender. According to the Sex Offender database, he's listed as non-compliant for failing to verify/register in Spokane County. El Rhashi been convicted of second-degree rape in Washington in 1998,  kidnapping in Wisconsin in 1998, and sexual assault of a child in 1994.
