Police bust Indiana man for drunkenly mowing someone else's lawn

Posted: Updated:
FRANKLIN, Ind. -

An Indiana man was arrested over the weekend for driving drunk, but he wasn't in a car.

Officers pulled over 46-year-old Barry Ridge from Franklin, Indiana, while he was driving a red lawnmower down a county road, according to the Johnson County Sheriff's Department.

The Indianapolis Star reports the Franklin Police Department received a complaint just after 5 p.m. on Saturday from someone who was upset that Ridge had driven onto their yard and started mowing their lawn. After mowing the lawn, he headed down the road.

Officers reported Ridge's eyes were "glassy" and he failed a breathalyzer test.

Police records show this isn't the first time Ridge has been busted driving a lawnmower while intoxicated. He was also arrested last month for driving a mower in a Kroger parking lot in another county.

Ridge is still awaiting trail for the first arrest. He was taken to the Johnson County Jail on Saturday.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Laurel or Yanny? This debate all started from an audio clip where people can’t agree what word the voice is saying. We were discussing this in the KHQ Newsroom too and it seems like everyone is split. Some hear “yanny,” some hear “laurel,” and others hear both. So what exactly is going on? Audio specialists say that it’s a poor quality audio clip, but people hear different ranges of frequencies. Dylan Bennett tweeted an explanation ...
