The number of people sickened by a national E. Coli outbreak linked to romaine lettuce has now reached seven in Washington state and 11 in Idaho, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The CDC has tallied 149 cases in 29 states stemming from the romaine lettuce grown in the Yuma, Arizona region, including one death in California and 64 hospitalizations. Fourteen people suffered kidney failure. The victims are between one and 88 years old.

The CDC warns people not to eat any form of romaine lettuce from the Yuma region.

The CDC, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and states are continuing to investigate the outbreak, which began March 13.
