MIAMI -

An American Airlines passenger on a flight from Saint Croix to Miami caused a commotion in midair Wednesday when he was refused beer. The whole ordeal was caught on camera by a fellow passenger.

The passenger, identified as Jason Felix in court documents, was on American Airlines flight 1293. Court documents say it started with noise in the bathroom before Felix returned to his seat calling flight attendants vulgar names.

Bill Bolduc was on the flight. He said he caught sense the tension on the flight increasing so he pulled out his phone.

"He was asking for more beer and more alcohol," Bolduc told WSVN-TV. When the flight attendant refused to serve him, Felix got angry.

Buldoc says Felix was hitting his chair, yelling and swearing and even threatened to kill the passenger sitting next to him. The two passengers began fighting in the aisle before both were brought under control by the American Airlines flight crew.

When the flight landed, Felix was taken into custody by Miami Police, and then turned over to the FBI, who are investigating.

American Airlines released a statement following the brawl, saying, "“We thank our crew of flight 1293 for taking care of our customers after a passenger caused a disruption. We are proud of the work they do every day.”

Felix was charged with interference with flight crew member and attendants. The charge carries up to a 20-year sentence.
