GRANT COUNTY, Wash. -

The body of a 17-year-old boy from Lynnwood, Wash was recovered Saturday evening from the waters of Banks Lake, the Grant County Sheriff's Office said Sunday. The teen went missing Friday evening near Steamboat Rock State Park.

Friends reported David V. Fesko missing around 8:30 p.m. Friday. Friends say he fell off an inner tube on the lake and tried to swim to shore. He went under the water and didn't resurface.

Deputies, state park rangers and boaters searched the waters and shoreline until nightfall when the search was suspended. The Spokane County Sheriff's Office dive team arrived Saturday morning and continued the search. Fesko's body was found around 6 p.m.

The cause and manner of death will be determined at a later date by the Grant County Coroner's Office.
