Suspect in standoff at CDA Ramada Inn taken into custody

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -

UPDATE: 

Coeur d'Alene Police say they have taken the suspect in custody.

Coeur d'Alene Police say a man they believed to be armed has barricaded himself inside the Ramada Inn on 4th Street. 

We're told the man is wanted by US Marshals on a warrant and police have evacuated the IHop nearby. Guests staying at the hotel have been asked to stay in their rooms. 

SWAT and the fire department are on scene and police are asking citizens to avoid the area. 

Nearby Borah Elementary has been placed on a safety hold.
