Dear Rogers Parents/Guardians:
This morning a number of our students made a good decision to provide information to school officials about a potential threat from another student to the Rogers campus.
Once we were told of the threat, we immediately put the school into lockdown as a precaution while we attempted to locate the student. At the same time, the police were contacted and soon after took the student into custody once he was located off campus.
The police are continuing their investigation.
Our school and district take any reports of threats very seriously and commend the students who were willing to report this incident. We will continue our careful and conscientious supervision in maintaining the safety of all who work and learn here.
As a reminder, anonymous reports may be made to our safety hotline, 354-SAFE, at any time. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me at 354-6600.
