PULLMAN, Wash. - Josh Akognon says he will transfer away from Washington State University and the end of the current semester.
"Our program wishes Josh nothing but good things," head coach Tony Bennett said. "He has to do what he deems is best for his future and we will help him in any way we can."
The sophomore basketball player led the Cougars in scoring with just over ten points a game this season. He made the decision to transfer over the weekend, saying Washington State was just not a good fit. Akognon has not yet made a decision on where he will go. However, several schools in the West Coast Conference have reportedly expressed interest in having him on their team.
