Moussaoui eligible for death penaltyPosted: Updated:
ALEXANDRIA, Va. - A federal jury finds al-Qaida conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui eligible to be executed for his role in the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks. Moussaoui was the only person tried in the U-S in connection with the attacks.
Moussaoui pleaded guilty last April to conspiring with al-Qaida to hijack aircraft and other crimes. He denied then that he was part of the Nine-Eleven plot. But he changed his story when he took the stand at his trial, and said he was supposed to have flown a hijacked airliner into the White House that day.
