Person hit by car in east SpokanePosted: Updated:
SPOKANE, Wash. - A 14-year old boy was hit by a car in east Spokane on Wednesday.
Police say the boy was walking across the street in a crosswalk. The outside lane of traffic stopped, but the driver in the middle lane did not. The boy was clipped by the car in the middle lane. His injuries were minor. However, he as taken to the hospital to be checked out.
Police say the driver who hit the boy had only an instructional permit and did not have insurance.

SEATTLE (AP) - Two Seattle police officers who shot and killed a 30-year-old pregnant woman each say they fired their weapons after the woman suddenly pulled a knife and came after them.
