Spokane businessman accused of rape takes stand in own defense
SPOKANE, Wash. - Arlin Jordin, the Spokane businessman accused of rape, took the stand in his own defense on Tuesday.
Prosecutors say Jordin allegedly drugged women while showing them apartments for rent, then raped at least one of those women. Today on the stand, Jordin's attorney questioned his client and asked him point blank whether he had raped the alleged victim. Jordin responded, "no". He also denied forcing the woman to do anything against her will.
Another of Jordin's accusers testified on Monday, saying she had also gone to check out an apartment with Jordin. They began drinking wine. She passed out and woke up in Jordin's bed with "no clothes on" her bottom half. She said a confrontation then took place.
Testimony continues on Tuesday. Watch KHQ Local News at 5 and 6, as well as KHQ Right Now for more information.
