bin Laden says Moussaoui not involved in September 11 attacks

Posted: Updated:

CAIRO, Egypt - A U-S intelligence official says there's no reason to doubt an Internet audio tape attributed to Osama bin Laden that says Zacarias Moussaoui had nothing to do with Nine-Eleven.

Moussaoui is the only person convicted in the U-S for the September Eleventh attacks. Bin Laden says he was the person in charge of all 19 hijackers on September Eleventh and that Moussaoui "had no connection at all"

The speaker says Moussaoui's confession that he helped plan the attacks was "void" and that Moussaoui's claims were the result of "pressures exercised against him during four and a half years" in prison in the U-S. The audio message, which is less than five minutes long, was transmitted with a still photo of bin Laden.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Initiative-1639 has been the root of controversy ever since supporters began asking for signatures. It became even more complicated when the Washington Supreme Court overturned a Thurston County judges decision after the judge initially threw out over 300,000 signatures saying the petition didn't follow election law claiming it was unreadable.
