Severe Weather UpdatePosted: Updated:
WEATHER UPDATE - A complex weather system is evolving in the off shore waters, and should possess all the necessary ingredients to trigger and fuel a severe weather outbreak on Monday. The day starts quietly as scatttered showers litter the landscape east of the Cascades before they erupt into severe thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening. Keep an eye to the sky & stay within earshot of the local radio because some of those severe thunderstorms will likely reach supercell status, capable of producing large hail the size of quarters, strong 50mph wind bursts, and possibly dot areas of the Idaho panhandle with small tornadoes/funnel clouds. The primary threat tomorrow appears to be large hail across eastern portions of Washington and Oregon, northern Idaho and the western third of Montana.
