WIMBLEDON MEN'S SINGLES FINAL: Federer prevailsPosted: Updated:
WIMBLEDON, England (AP) - The "Guru of Grass" refused to bow down before the "King of Clay" during today's men's final at the All England Lawn Tennis Club.
Roger Federer collected his fourth straight Wimbledon title, and a bit of revenge, with a 6-love, 7-6, 6-7, 6-3 victory over Rafael Nadal (nah-DAHL'), the Spaniard who beat him in last month's French Open finale to extend a record clay-court winning streak.
Federer, who was 0-and-4 versus Nadal this year, ends the losing streak with a record-extending 48th straight win on grass.
