SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga notched another top recruit in their belt Wednesday night. Thing is - they'll have to wait a couple of years to see him play.
Andy Poliing, a 7-foot center from Westview High School in Oregon, orally committed to Gonzaga. He will be a junior this season. The Oregonian newspaper says he passed up offers from virtually every school in the PAC -10, including Oregon and Oregon State.
Polling said he chose Gonzaga because of the coaches, and because he can easily visit his family.
Of course, Poling could change his mind anytime between now and then. NCAA rules prohibit recruits from making official commitments until they are allowed to sign a letter of intent during an early signing period.
