Speaker Hastert to visit Post Falls for fundraiserPosted: Updated:
POST FALLS, Idaho - Six days after the nation's second-in-command comes to Boise to stump for congressional candidate Bill Sali, the country's third-in-charge will raise money for Sali in the northern part of the state.
J. Dennis Hastert, the speaker of the U-S House of Representatives, will headline a Sali fundraiser in Post Falls on August 22nd - less than a week after Vice President Dick Cheney delivers a keynote speech at a campaign event in Boise. Hastert will speak at a breakfast in honor of Sali at the Red Lion Templin's resort.
Sali, who won the Republican primary with just 26 percent of the vote, faces Democrat Larry Grant in November for the 1st congressional district seat being vacated by GOP gubernatorial candidate C-L "Butch" Otter.
