Wife charged with murder of her pastor husband posts bondPosted: Updated:
SELMER, Tenn. (AP) -
The wife accused of gunning down her minister husband is now free on bond.
Mary Winkler had been locked up since late March on a murder charge. But today she was able to post the 750-thousand-dollar bond to get out of a Tennessee jail. She's required to live with friends in a town where she'll work at a dry cleaners and be supervised by state probation workers.
Winkler's lawyer says he will also work out a way for her to see her three young daughters, now living with relatives. Winkler allegedly killed her husband after they argued over money. She was arrested the next day in Alabama.
