MOSCOW (AP) - An emergency official confirms that wreckage from a Russian airliner with 170 people aboard has been found on the ground in Ukraine.
The flight was on its way from a Black Sea resort to St. Petersburg when it sent a distress signal. An official with Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry says the plane disappeared from radar screens over Ukraine.
Russia's Interfax news agency says 30 bodies have been found. Another news agency reports that the wreckage was found near the Ukrainian city of Donetsk and that rescuers are working at the site.
The plane belongs to a St. Petersburg-based airline.
