Few troubles reported at Sea-Tac AirportPosted: Updated:
SEATAC, Wash. - Air travelers at Sea-Tac Airport are having little problem with the new rules for carry-on baggage.
Spokesman Bob Parker say passengers got the message from travel agents or the media and were mostly prepared -- with things like shampoo in containers of three ounces or less and in a clear plastic bag for screening.
Parker says the airport had extra people on hand to manage the lines this morning, but they weren't really needed. He says the morning rush went normally.
Parker says he knows that one three-and-a-half ounce container of hair spray was rejected. He says the airport screeners take their directions from the Transportation Security Administration and three ounces is the limit. Parker says there was more confusion on August tenth when liquids were banned because it caught travelers by surprise.
