Woman in Jail for Three Counts of First Degree AssaultPosted: Updated:
SPOKANE, WASH--Spokane police responded to a domestic violence call that almost turned deadly off of Pacific Park drive in Northwest Spokane.
Police said that around 11:45 p.m. on Friday, a 27 year old woman called to report her brother's girlfriend was out of control and had attempted to stab her with a knife. After a struggle, the woman managed to take away the knife.
The suspect then locked herself in a downstairs room where the boyfriend's 7 year old daughter was sleeping.
The woman was able to force the door open just in time to tackle the suspect as she was attempting to stab the child with a screwdriver.
The 23 year old suspect was transported to the Spokane County Jail and booked on three counts of first degree assault.
