The University of Washington football team (4-2 overall) returned to Seattle and played today against Northwest rival Oregon State (2-3 overall).

Final @ Martin Stadium
The WSU Cougars (4-2 overall) hosted the California Bears (5-1 overall) today at Martin Stadium. WSU was coming off a 13-6 victory at Oregon State last Saturday which snapped a two-game skid.

Having met three times previously in non-conference games, the Eagles (1-5 overall) and the Bears (0-5 overall) met today in their first-ever Big Sky Conference match up.

Whitworth College celebrated Homecoming 2006, along with Hall of Fame inductions and the 100 Years of Football reunion this weekend as the Pirates (5-0) hosted Lewis & Clark College (0-4) in a Northwest Conference game.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - The man who admitted to kidnapping and then killing a stranger outside a Cheney marijuana shop gave a full confession to KHQ's Hayley Guenthner as he sat behind bars. Donavon Culps said he shot victim Cameron Smith "three or four times" after he felt Smith was "disrespectful" to him.

    SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - In a four minute hearing on Friday, September 15, 15-year-old Caleb Sharpe pleaded not guilty to one count of First Degree Murder and three counts of Attempted First Degree Murder. Sharpe's parents and his lawyer were present for the hearing, which started at 1:02 and ended at 1:06.
