Kootenai Electric has about one thousand customers without power in North Idaho.  That number is less than the 3,500 outages as of noon on Monday.  Crews continue to work on the south side of the Spokane River.  They found a total of 15 broken power poles, making the restoration process particularly slow.

Inland Power and Light is also working to restore power to several hundred customers.  The company had about 1,000 outages at 5 p.m.  IP&L hoped to have 600 of those customers out of the dark by 6 p.m.
