Weather disrupts travel across Snoqualmie PassPosted: Updated:
SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. - Getting over Snoqualmie Pass was a traffic nightmare for many drivers today. Eastbound I-90 was closed to traffic for about an hour starting at 3 p.m. near Easton at mile post 47, due to blizzard-like conditions and multiple collisions. All eastbound lanes were reopened at 4 p.m. but traffic moved only at 5 to 15 miles per hour in both directions.
No injuries were reported, but heavy snow, high winds and low visibility caused about 10 accidents, according to the State Patrol. More snow is expected overnight.
