SEATTLE - For at least one year, the Apple Cup will be enjoyed after the turkey. With both Washington and Washington State seeking a bye week during the 2007 football season, the two schools have moved the 100th meeting of the series to November 24th. That's the Saturday following Thanksgiving.
It will be the first time the game is not being played before the holiday since 1978. The Pac-10 announced its 2007 football schedule today at Walnut Creek, California.
The announcement also showed the Huskies have added a 13th game to their schedule in 2007. Washington will close out its regular season at Hawaii on December 1st, its first game with Hawaii since 1973. Hawaii will play at Washington in the future, although the year has not been determined.
