9:35 a.m. SEATTLE, WA - Taylor Rochestie scored a season-high 16 points off the bench, and Derrick Low hit two free throws with less than 17 seconds left to help 10th-ranked Washington State beat Washington, 65-to-61 Wednesday night in Seattle. Freshman center Spencer Hawes had 22 points and forward Jon Brockman added 15 for the Huskies. It was the fifth conference win in a row for Washington State, which has its highest rating ever in this week's Associated Press poll. The Cougars were ahead by just 62-to-61 when Low was fouled by Adrian Oliver and sank two free throws. Robbie Cowgill added one more free throw for the Cougars with 7 seconds to go for the final score. The win kept the Cougars (11-3) on the heels of first place UCLA in the Pac Ten standings. The Cougars don't play again until next Thursday, February 22nd at Number 15 Oregon. Washington's next game is Saturday at seventh-ranked Pittsburgh.
