PULLMAN, Wash. - They're celebrating in Pullman today. The Washington State Cougars have cracked the top ten - now ranked No. 9 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll.
The Cougars last game was February 14 against Washington. WSU beat the Huskies 65-61 in a game that saw Derrick Low hit a shot with 16.7 seconds left in the game. Taylor Rochestie scored a season-high 16 points.
But all that's in the past now. The Cougars face Oregon on Thursday on the road.Also, it was announced on Monday that the Cougars game against the UCLA Bruins on March 1 has been picked up by Fox Sports Net. The Bruins beat the Cougars 55-52 on December 28 when UCLA was ranked No. 1 in the nation. The Cougars led by as many as 10 in the first period before UCLA battled back to take the lead in the second half.
