PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) _ Arron Afflalo scored 14 points tonight as Number two U-C-L-A beat 13th-ranked Washington State, 53-to-45, in Pullman. The win wraps up the Bruins' second consecutive Pac-10 title.

Kyle Weaver scored 14 points to lead Washington State, which had its hopes ended for the first Pac-10 title in the school's history.

After trailing by one point at the half, the Bruins made 11 of their first 14 shots to open the second half as they pulled away from the Cougars. Washington State missed its first six shots of the second half and did not score until Aron Baynes made two free throws with 16 minutes left. The Bruins shot 51 percent in the game while holding Washington State to 37 percent. The Cougars made just 8-of-28 from the field in the second half. Washington State, which leads the conference with only nine turnovers per game, committed 10 turnovers in the first half and 14 in the game. U-C-L-A leads the all-time series between the two teams, 91-to-13, and has won 12 in a row in Pullman.
