Cloned cows are capable of producing human insulin in their milkPosted: Updated:
Scientists in Argentina revealed on April 17th that they have cloned four cows that are capable of producing human insulin in their milk. That information could be a breakthrough for those with diabetes.
The scientists say the calves will start producing the insulin-infused milk when they reach adulthood. The breakthrough could mean human insulin at lower costs.
The company, Bio Sidus, spearheaded the project and wants to open up a pharmaceutical dairy for the insulin producing cows.
