SPOKANE, Wash - From the KHQ weather forecast team powerful thunderstorms moved into southern Spokane County and Eastern Lincoln County Monday night. These storms brought hail with accumulations of up to an inch and wind gusts up to 40-miles-per-hour. The storm is moved south at 25-miles-per-hour.
Avista reported scattered outages in Davenport, Spokane and Colville effecting over 100 customers..
Two city crews were dispatched check the overflowing sewers. There were significant water back-ups all over Spokane, especially near the Maple St. Bridge. Drivers were asked to use extreme caution in that area for several hours.
The Washington State Patrol also asked motorist to exercise extreme caution while traveling on I-90 east and west bound near the Thor/Freya on/off-ramps. Water covered both lanes causing drivers who were not slowing down for the conditions to slide all over the roadway. The roadway also remained covered with water for several hours.

LYNNWOOD, Wash. - The body of 6-year-old Dayvid Pakko has been found in a dumpster at an apartment in Lynnwood, and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department says there is evidence he was the victim of homicide.Major Crimes detectives are now investigating and a 19-year-old male has been taken into custody. SPOKANE, Wash. - A man was arrested over the weekend for allegedly cutting the brakes on his estranged wife's car and then sending her a threatening text message. The victim noticed something wasn't right with her vehicle and drove it to a shop before anyone was hurt. Court documents allege Adrian J. Reyez, 32, committed felony domestic violence harassment.>>
SPOKANE, Wash. - Eric Thompson thought his 13-year-old cat was missing until one of his neighbors knocked on his door. “She came over here a couple of nights ago,” said Thompson. “And said, ‘do you have a black cat?’ I said yeah.” According to that neighbor, Kaydee Miller, and Thompson, the cat was in another neighbor’s backyard, stuck inside a trap.>>
PASCO COUNTY, Fla. - Authorities in Florida say a murder that turned into a shootout with deputies started when a man believed a family friend was hitting on his imaginary girlfriend. According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, 30-year-old Brian Disario shot and killed a friend of his mother's, 56-year-old David Armstrong on Thursday. Deputies say Disario believed Armstrong was hitting on his girlfriend, a woman who law enforcement says doesn't actually exist.>>
