MURFREESBORO, Ark. (AP) _ Things are looking up for a teenager who was looking down. Thirteen-year-old Nicole Ruhter spotted a two-point-nine carat diamond while walking on a path at Arkansas' Crater of Diamonds State Park. Thousands of others have made the same trek, but only she noticed the gem. The girl from Butler, Missouri, says she's naming her find the "Pathfinder Diamond." Nicole's family says they'll keep their diamond for awhile before having it appraised. Park experts say it's a good, but not a perfect gem. Crater of Diamonds State Park is the world's only diamond-producing site open to the public. Visitors are allowed to keep the gems they find.
