SAN DIEGO, Cali. - Richie Sexson tied the game with a homer in the eighth inning Saturday night, and Jose Lopez then singled in the go-ahead run in the ninth as the Seattle Mariners rallied for a 6-5 win over the San Diego Padres.
The Mariners, who were behind by four runs, beat the Padres for the second straight night, and by the same score. Seattle won 6-5 in 11 innings Saturday night. Sexson's homer was his ninth of the season.
And Yuniesky Betancourt singled in the fifth inning for Seattle to extend his career-best hitting streak to 20 games, the longest active streak in the majors this year.
Sean Green pitched two innings of relief for the win. J-J Putz pitched the ninth inning for his 17th save in as many chances.
