SPOKANE, WA - Despite 15 strikeouts from the Spokane pitching staff, Vancouver used a four-run top of the ninth to put the game out of reach as the Indians dropped the final contest of this five-game series, 8-1. Renny Osuna drove in the Indians' lone run in the third, and is hitting .293 on the season.
Starter Jacob Brigham (2-1) had a solid outing but picked up the loss, giving up two earned runs, striking out five in four innings of work. In relief, Dan Sattler struck out six Canadian batters and Anton Maxell whiffed four in the final two frames of the game. Spokane's pitching staff leads the league in strikeouts with 175 K's.
The Indians lead the Northwest League East Division by three games over the Boise, four games ahead of Tri-City and five in front of Yakima.
