PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State has added Portland State to its 2008 football schedule, a first-ever game between the Pac-10 Cougars and the Vikings from the Big Sky Conference.
The announcement was made Thursday by WSU athletic director Jim Sterk. Sterk was the athletic director at Portland State for five years before coming to Pullman in June 2000.
The Cougars will play the Vikings in a September 20 non-conference game at Martin Stadium in Pullman.
Washington State previously announced it will face Baylor and Hawaii in non-conference games next season. Its complete 13-game 2008 schedule has not been finalized.
