SEATTLE, Wash. - The University of Washington men's basketball schedule for the 2007-08 season will feature eight home games against NCAA Tournament teams and the NIT Season Tip-Off.

Coach Lorenzo Romar's Huskies will play at least 14 games against 2007 NCAA Tournament teams, including two contests with Final Four team UCLA. The defending Pac-10 champion Bruins will be in Seattle at the campus Bank of America Arena on February 10th.

The Huskies will play 18 regular-season games at their Bank of America Arena, where they had a 17-2 record last season.

Washington will open its season with exhibition games October 28th against Concordia of Portland, Oregon, and November 5th against Seattle Pacific.

The Huskies' regular season will get under way with consecutive doubleheaders in the NIT Season Tip-Off at the Bank of America Arena. Washington will host the Western Regional that opens November 13th with Utah against High Point at 5 p.m. followed by the Huskies against New Jersey Tech at 8 p.m.

The Huskies return four starters, headed by junior forward Jon Brockman, from last season's team that had a 19-13 record. Gone is 7-foot center Spencer Hawes, who elected to enter the NBA draft after his freshman season. Hawes was chosen 10th overall in June by the Sacramento Kings.
