KIRKLAND, Wash. - Seahawks Coach Mike Holmgren and the leading players on offense and defense are still fuming over their embarrassing 48-13 loss at Green Bay Saturday night.
It was a debacle of mistakes, missed assignments and a general lack of urgency. The defense gave up three touchdowns in the first half. Backup quarterback Seneca Wallace fumbled twice, both of which were returned for touchdowns. Matt Hasselbeck, along with Walter Jones and Sean Locklear, sat the game out.
Notables: *Locklear returned to practice on Monday (he's been battling a case of knee tendonitis).
*Micheal Boulware didn't practice on Monday because of a sprained ankle.
*Derek Devine took a lot of snaps on Monday. Coach Holmgren said he hopes to give Devine and former EWU QB Erik Meyer some playing time on Saturday against the Vikings.
*Rosters need to be trimmed to 75 by next Tuesday and 53 by September 1.
As Holmgren tries to ratchet up intensity in training camp, his players are moving out of their dorm rooms because Northwest University students are returning from summer break.
