SEATTLE, Wash. - Seattle's Matt Hasselbeck completed 12-17 passes for 129 yards tonight as the Seahawks beat the Minnesota Vikings, 30-13, in an exhibition game.
Hasselbeck threw one interception and appeared rusty, but it was the first time he had played since a single series of downs in the exhibition opener two weeks ago, In the first half, Hasselbeck took advantage of the fact that his teammates set him up to start, on average, from Seattle's 46-yard line.
That allowed the Seahawks to score on four of five drives. Hasselbeck and backup quarterback Seneca Wallace also both avoided being sacked. The Seahawks allowed seven sacks last week in a loss at Green Bay.
Seahawks star running back Shaun Alexander ran eight times for 30 yards before leaving with Hasselbeck after one half.
The Seahawks are now 2-1 in the preseason. Their final exhibition game is Thursday at home against Oakland.
