High school football kicks of in Washington

SPOKANE, Wash. - The high school football season kicked of in the state of Washington with three games in the Inland Northwest Thursday night.

Alexander Shaw's one yard touchdown with five seconds left lifted Lewis and Clark past Central Valley 27-21 at Joe Albi Stadium.

Defending league champion Gonzaga Prep topped Mt. Spokane 35-19 in the late game at the stadium while University topped Coeur d'Alene 20-14 in Spokane Valley.
