WASHINGTON DC- The top commander in Iraq heads from the battlefield to Capitol Hill.
General David Petraeus delivered his much anticipated report on Iraq to congress on Monday morning. According to the General's report, Petraeus says a Marine unit will depart Iraq later this month, beginning a drawdown that would be followed in mid-December with the departure of an Army brigade.Patraeus says based on the progress U.S forces are achieving, he expects to be able to recommend that some forces be redeployed without replacements.
