COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho. - A soggy night in Friday Night Football's Game of the Week as Lake City takes an early lead and eventually knocks off Coeur D'Alene 39-13.
Coeur d'Alene came in to the game wanting to protect the football, but Lake City forces a turnover right away. Gabe Brunner makes an interception for a touchdown, taking the T-Wolves to an early 7-nothing lead.
Lake City then adds a safety to make it 9-0. Then Coeur d'Alene gets on the board with Justin Goodwin punching it in, cutting the lead to 9-7.
Before the half Lake City increases their lead when Hared Heston makes a touchdown bumping it up to 16-7.
Still confident, the Vikings come back wanting to stop the turnovers in the second half. But they start the half giving up the ball twice, and those turnovers really hurt them.
Lake city capitalizes on the 2nd one, and it's Heston on the ground again taking the Timber Wolves to a 24-7 lead.
And it's pretty much academic from there, a 52 yard touchdown pass seals the deal for the T-Wolves. They win it 39-13 to stay unbeaten.
