KIRKLAND, Wash. - The Seahawks have place fullback Mack Strong on injured reserve and signed veteran Fred McCrary who played last season with Atlanta.
Strong's 15-year career was ended by a neck injury suffered in the loss at Pittsburgh.
McCrary is a 12-year veteran who will back up Leonard Weaver as the chief blocker for running back Shaun Alexander.
The Seahawks Wednesday also released long-snapper Derek Rackley and replaced him with Boone Stutz, the same man who last year took Rackley's job with the Falcons.
