SPOKANe, Wash. - Three Pac-10 games will be played this week, with number seven Oregon at Washington and number 10 California at UCLA. In Saturday's other conference game, Stanford will be at Arizona. Number 13 USC will be at Notre Dame on Saturday.
Unbeaten and Pac-10 leader Arizona State, Washington State and Oregon State have byes this week. Arizona State is number 12 this week in The Associated Press poll.
Oregon will be trying to beat the Huskies for the fourth straight time. The Ducks handled the Huskies 34-14 in Eugene last season, with tailback Jonathan Stewart leading the way with 159 yards and two touchdowns and the Oregon defense limiting Washington to 10 first downs and 138 yards of total offense.
Stewart was recruited away by Oregon from Washington after he starred at Timberline High School in Lacey. Now in his junior season in Eugene, the powerful 5-foot-11, 230-pound Stewart is averaging 114.8 rushing yards and 7 yards per carry.
The Ducks haven't won four straight games in the rivals' series since 1928-1931.
Washington will be trying to end a four-game losing streak. The Huskies are 0-3 in Pac-10 play.
