Winless Rams will be healthier in Seattle

Posted: Updated:

ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Cardinals are coming to Seattle looking for their first victory of the season, but they have starting quarterback Marc Bulger back at practice this week.

Bulger has returned to the field after broken ribs forced him to miss two games, a pair of losses in which backup Gus Frerotte was intercepted eight times.

Rams running back Steven Jackson and wide receiver Isaac Bruce also are back at practice although both were limited Wednesday. Bruce is considered a better bet to return this week against the Seahawks.

Coach Scott Linehan said today that Jackson had an "outside chance" of playing on Sunday at Qwest Field. Jackson is recovering from a partially torn groin that has sidelined him for three games.

The Seahawks will be out to end a two-game losing streak on Sunday at 1 p.m. They've lost 21-0 at Pittsburgh and 28-17 to New Orleans at home the last two weeks. They're 9-point favorites over the Rams.

The Seahawks have a 3-3 record, while the Rams are 0-6.
