SEATTLE, Wash.- Matt Hasselbeck passed for 278 yards and two touchdowns while the Seattle Seahawks shut down San Francisco's offense in a 24-0 shutout of the 49ers.

The Seahawks grabbed a 17-0 halftime lead on TDs by Will Heller and Maurice Morris. Hasselbeck hit Heller for a one-yard touchdown midway through the first quarter to put the Seahawks ahead to stay.

Morris added a four-yard scoring run that gave Seattle a 17-0 cushion.

D.J. Hackett had eight receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown as the 5-4 Seahawks stayed a game ahead of second-place Arizona in the NFC West.

The 49ers managed just 173 total yards and tied a team record-low with six first downs. A.J. Smith was 12-of-28 for 114 yards.

The Niners have dropped seven straight since a 2-and-0 start. San Francisco coach Mike Nolan was on the sidelines a day after his father, former 49ers coach Dick Nolan, passed away at age 75.
