Oregon's upset defeat throws Pac-10 race into chaos

SPOKANE, Wash. - Who's going to the Rose Bowl from the Pac-10? The Pac-10 race was thrown into chaos Thursday night when second-ranked Oregon was upset at Arizona 34-24.

The loss dropped the Ducks to 5-2 in the Pac-10 for a tie for second place in the league race with USC behind Arizona State, at 6-1.

Arizona State and USC have byes this week before their crucial game on Thanksgiving Night in Tempe.

There are only two other Pac-10 games this week.

Cellar-dwelling Washington will face California at 12:30 p.m. On Saturday at Husky Stadium in Seattle. And Washington State will go against Oregon State at 3:30 on Saturday at Martin Stadium in Pullman. Coach Bill Doba's Cougars can become bowl eligible by winning their final two games.
