4A State Semi-Final: Ferris going home, L.C. going on

SPOKANE, Wash. - Ferris was knocked out of contention but Lewis and Clark again advances towards the Washington 4-A State Championship.

The undefeated Ferris Saxons lost to the undefeated Bothell Cougars 14-7 Saturday at Joe Albi Stadium. The Saxons were in the red zone, driving towards a tying score in the final minutes when they turned the ball over on a fumble.

The Saxons previously defeated Graham-Kapowsin with ease, 49-14 in the state quarterfinal. They faced a tougher test against the Cougars who are currently ranked #1 in the state.

Lewis and Clark is playing some of its best football at the right time.

After shutting out Inglemoor 35-0 they held off a furious rally by previously undefeated Edmonds-Woodway to win 28-26 in the Tacoma Dome Saturday night.

Hopes of an an all GSL State Championship on December 1st in the Tacoma Dome were shattered. Ferris defeated Lewis and Clark 19-6 on September 13th at Joe Albi.
