ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Alan Voskuil's 28 points sparked Texas Tech to a 73-63 upset of No. 14 Gonzaga tonight in the semifinals of the Great Alaska Shootout in Anchorage.
Texas Tech (4-1) will play 22nd-ranked Butler in Saturday's championship.
Gonzaga (also 4-1) went scoreless for the first 6:27 of the second half as the Bulldogs turned the ball over repeatedly and the Red Raiders' lead grew to 48-31 on a 3-pointer by Voskuil. Gonzaga pulled to 67-61 on two straight baskets by Matt Bouldin with 2:04 to go, but the Zags could get no closer.
Gonzaga was led by Micah Downs with 15 points, including 12 in the first half. The Zags play Virginia Tech on Saturday for third place in the Shootout.
