CHICAGO - Rookie Kevin Durant scored 16 points in 24 minutes, but he had little help Tuesday night in Chicago as the Seattle SuperSonics lost to the Bulls 123-96.
The Sonics trailed 67-49 at halftime.
Wally Szczerbiak and Mickael Gelabale each came off the bench to score a dozen points for Seattle.
Durant may be only 19 years old, but he's become a quick study of what ails the talent-challenged Sonics. Said Durant: "they picked us apart, moving the ball quickly and getting open shots."
The loss dropped the Sonics to 5-17 for the season, including 2-9 on the road. They're at New York tonight at 4:30 to face the Knicks in the third game of a five-game road trip.
