PULLMAN, Wash. - The eighth-ranked Washington State Cougars beat the Oregon 69-60 Sunday at Friel Court, snapping a 13-game losing streak against the Oregon Ducks.
Last season, the Ducks swept the season series, including a 77-74 overtime game in Pullman, in which the Cougars' Derrick Low scored 37 points, including nine 3-pointers.
Washington State's last win over Oregon came Feb. 15, 2001.
On Thursday night, Oregon lost 78-70 at Washington, while the Cougars bounced back from their first league loss at UCLA last Saturday and rolled over cellar-dwelling Oregon State 69-46 at home.
The Cougars are 4-1 in the Pac-10 and 16-1 overall, while the Ducks are 3-3 in the league and 12-6 overall.
